Frontier Works plans joint OVA Utawarerumono x ToHeart2 event in May

The Japanese production and distribution company Frontier Works has announced on Friday that it will hold a "Joint OVA Utawarerumono x ToHeart2 Event" on May 23 in Yokohama. The outline of the event lists a guest discussion about a "new ToHeart2 OVA series." The last ToHeart2 OVA project, the two-volume ToHeart2 adplus series, ended last October.
The ToHeart2 romance visual novel software from AQUAPLUS had previously inspired a ToHeart2 television series and two other video anime series (ToHeart2 and ToHeart2ad). The Utawarerumono OVA series launched last June, and the third and last scheduled volume will ship this June.
Ryoko Ono and Ema Kogure, the voice actresses of the ToHeart2 characters Sasara and Maryan, respectively, will appear at the event with Utawarerumono voices Ryoka Yuzuki (Eruru) and Tsuyoshi Koyama (Kurou). Besides the guest discussion for the new ToHeart2 OAV series, the event will have a screening of the third Utawarerumono OVA episode, a Utawarerumono guest discussion, and a mini live concert.
North America's Right Stuf released the To Heart television anime series, which is based on the original visual novel of the same name. ADV Films released the Utawarerumono television series in North America in 2007, and Funimation then picked up the North American release rights in 2008.
