Post-breakup story produced by manhwa publisher Netcomics

Toma's X Diary manhwa is slated to get a film adaptation aimed at the United States. The slice-of-life story follows a couple — a cartoonist and her musician boyfriend — after they break up but decide to remain friends. Kaiman Apple is making his directorial debut with this film, and Kevan Peterson adapted the manhwa for the screenplay. Casting is scheduled to begin in June, followed by filming in October.

Vice President Soyoung Jung of Netcomics, the American print and online subsidiary of South Korea's Ecomix, is producing the US$10-million project. Netcomics had published the manga in North America in 2006.
