Comedy about "pre-marriage" school; Nao Hinachi, Ririko Yoshioka launch manga

Peach Girl manga creator Miwa Ueda has launched her new Pure-Mari (Pre-Marriage) manga in the April issue of Kodansha's Bessatsu Friend magazine on Saturday. The romantic comedy is set in Hanamusubi Academy, a boarding school for brides-to-be. The school is nicknamed "Pre-Marriage" since all the students dream of getting married and practice mock wedding ceremonies. Anju Momofuku is a student at the school who has a childhood friend named Yūma Sakamoto.

In the same Bessatsu Friend issue, Nao Hinachi has launched another manga called Tenchi Shinmei! based on a story by Hirume Amano. The story revolves around Shio Asuna, a seemingly ordinary high school girl born into a family of miko (shrine maidens). Rai is a deity of lightning who protects Shio. Fuyu Kumaoka's My Hero! manga has ended in the current Bessatsu Friend issue, while Ririko Yoshioka's Shiro no Eden will launch in the May issue on April 13.

Ueda just ended her Papillon - Hana to Chō manga in Bessatsu Friend's December issue in November, and Del Rey published the fourth volume in North America last October. Tokyopop published the Peach Girl manga in North America, while Funimation released the anime adaptation.
