Hawaii's Kawaii Kon Hosts Hideo Ishikawa, Masakazu Morita

1st convention visit in U.S. for both voice actors; J-pop duo Alt/Air to perform

Kawaii Kon has announced the voice actors Hideo Ishikawa and Masakazu Morita as its final guests of honor at the April 16-18 event in Honolulu's Hawaii Convention Center. This will be the first appearance at an American con for both actors, and the first convention appearance outside of Japan for Ishikawa.

Ishikawa has voiced roles in more than 50 anime, including Bleach's Jushiro Ukitake, Naruto's Itachi Uchiha, and Slam Dunk's Kiccho Fukuda. He was also Auron in the Final Fantasy X and Kingdom Hearts videogames.

Morita has also voiced main roles in several popular anime, including Bleach's Kurosaki Ichigo, Saint Seiya: Hades Chapter's Pegasus Seiya and Gundam Seed Destiny's Auel Neider. He played Tidus in the Final Fantasy X and Kingdom Hearts videogames.

Ishikawa and Morita join Appleseed film director Shinji Aramaki and prolific voice actor Daisuke Kishio, who has voiced roles in more than 60 anime titles, including Vampire Knight's Kaname Kuran.

Kawaii Kon also announced that J-pop duo Alt/Air will be performing at the convention.

American industry guests at the convention include Johnny Yong Bosch, Vic Mignogna, Wendy Powell, Bob and Emily DeJesus, and Samantha Inoue-Harte.
